Up for sale isan authentic original vintage Cuban cigarette pack label (marquilla decigarrillos) for Cigarros Guarina (Panetelas), manufactured by FCA.CIGARROS CAMAGÜEY, S.A. in Camagüey, Cuba.
This item datesto the 1940s–1950s pre-revolutionary era and represents one of the mostfamous regional Cuban tobacco brands outside of Havana.
Historical Significance & Founder:
- History: The Guarina brand and industrial complex were founded and operated by prominent Cuban industrialist Juan José Hernández Mendoza (President) and his son Rodolfo Hernández Lasarte (Vice President).
- Importance: Based in the province of Camagüey, Fábrica de Cigarros Camagüey, S.A. was a major regional economic powerhouse and one of central Cuba’s largest producers of cigarettes and tobacco products prior to 1960.
- Design Features: Shows the iconic indigenous Taíno chieftain profile crest (Guarina), vibrant red scroll lettering reading "GUARINA CIGARROS PANETELAS", decorative geometric diamond borders, and official marking "HECHO EN CUBA".
