Vtg 1987 Garbage Pail Kids Series 11 Unopened Wax Packs 48ct Box Set + Free Case For Sale

Original Series 11, the legendary team behind the artwork splits into two distinct creative roles that you will want to input correctly into your item details:

• The Illustrator (The Painter): John Pound [geepeekay.com]. He is the master artist who physically painted the "Lucy Lock-It" box art and the vast majority of the character stickers inside the set [geepeekay.com].
• The Concept Artist (The Brains): Tom Bunk [geepeekay.com]. For Series 11, Tom Bunk stepped in heavily to sketch out the wild, funny, and gross underlying concepts that John Pound then brought to life with his airbrush [geepeekay.com].

• The Relocated "25¢ CHEAP" Wrapper Logo: Unlike Series 3, 4, or 9, where the retail pricing logo was emblazoned across the box face and centered on the packs, Series 11 stripped the price off the box completely. On these packs, the "25¢ CHEAP" logo has been cleanly relocated to the absolute bottom-left corner of the wrapper. This layout shift was intentionally designed by Topps to make room for the wide, full-bodied crawling artwork of mascot #421a Baby Blue.
• Authentic "X-Out" Distributor Box: The display box featuring the iconic Lucy Lock-It artwork bears a clear distributor marker slash ("X-Out") across the top panel header. In the vintage non-sport hobby, this serves as definitive proof that this box was part of an official, late-stage warehouse liquidation run as the mid-80s craze began to cool down.
• Verified Factory Codes: The bottom of the box displays the authentic production code 1-490-40-06-7. The wrappers feature the corresponding priced code variant 0-490-21-09-7, perfectly matching the bottom-corner price badge.

• The Legendary "Green Bar" Print Error: Opening these packs gives you a direct chance at pulling the highly sought-after print errors on cards #458a Dental Hy GENE and #458b Rudy Canal. Initial print runs accidentally included a solid green printer bleed block on the back edge before Topps patched the plates. Pulling a "Green Bar" error card yields a massive premium!
• Pristine 9 & 10 Grading Candidates: These packs have spent their life protected inside a hard case, minimizing the shifting that causes corner wear. Pulling sharp-cornered Series 11 gems to send off to PSA or SGC offers massive return potential.
• Vintage Bubble Gum & Puzzle Checklists: Each pack includes the original, nostalgic stick of pink bubble gum along with the highly collectible "Puzzle Puke" checklist card backs.

The 48 wax packs are in excellent, crisp condition with tight factory seals. The outer cardboard display box shows minor vintage shelf wear and edgesoftening consistent with a 40-year-old retail item, but it stands up straight, rigid, and looks museum-quality inside the included acrylic hard case.
