Here is your chance to pick up a nice Vixen Super Polaris Equatorial mount and solid wood tripod that originally came with a Celestron (Vixen) SP-C6 reflector and was made in Japan,they dont make them like this anymore!The leg design is different than the legs that came with smaller scopes like the SP-C-80. everything is smooth and clean. Included is a very hard to find and detailed supplemental instruction manual for the Super Polaris mount. I\'ve only ever seen one if there before.
all screws and hardware are there. 2 big counter weights with a combined weight of 14lbs 4.7 oz.
Add a Vixen dive tail base saddle plate and you can add any telescope that has a Vixen style dovetail. This mount accepts a polar alignment scope but the example does not have the polar alignment scope.
Wood legs show some signs of use but that\'s to be expected in a tripod that\'s 35 years old. The telescope this came with was made in 1991. Very carefully packaged and shipped via FedEx.
Some of this will be disassembled in order to keep shipping cost down,so some very basic re-assembly will be needed. I love this mount and use one for my TeleVue NP-127,I highly recommend it.
