Up for sale is this beautiful, rare find. A signed CORO Adolph Katz design choker rhinestone collar necklace featuring 3 collar pieces which have a variety of colorful pastel rhinestones. On the back you can see the pro signature and also a Des PAT Pend. The two outer pieces do move. This necklace was made in 1955. It is 15” long even with a small extension chain. It is on a snake chain. The widest part of the collar is 1” high and 4” wide. It is in excellent condition; I see no signs of wear; even on the back!! The collar design is called an “Honore” pattern. The necklace is named, “Summer Flower Garden”. It also can be found in Julie C. Carroll’s book called “Collecting Costume Jewelry 202”. On page 118, this necklace is mentioned.
The main flower in the center has 5 marquis cut light green stones. A small orange rhinestone sits in the center. Then on the left there is a smaller flower with 5 light blue stones and a darker blue stone in center. On the right, there is a smaller flower with 5 light purple stones and a darker pink/ purple stone in the center. On the 2 outer ends, which move, there are amber and clear rhinestones. What an incredible rare piece to add to your collection. You will not be disappointed!
