This listing is for a hard-to-find set of 9 Waterford 850 double old fashioned glasses in excellent vintage condition. The glasses are very gently used and have been very well cared for. I examined them thoroughly and I could not find any chips or fleabites. The diamond cut pattern is very busy and sparkly, so I may have missed something minor. There is some very minor shelf wear on the bottom edges of a few of the glasses, but overall they appear to be in wonderful condition. The Waterford 850 pattern, circa 1968, had a very limited run; only double old fashioned and highball glasses were produced for this barware line.
These glasses were hand-blown and cut in the original Waterford factory in Ireland. They vary in weight from just below one pound to one glass weighing one pound, 4.5 ounces. 8 of the glasses are approximately 4 3/8\" high and one of the glasses is approximately 4 3/16\" high. All of the glasses are approximately 3 3/8\" in diameter at the rim. Eight of the glasses have the gothic Waterford logo etched on the bottom edge of the glass; an example of this is shown in photo #4. One of the glasses has the gothic Waterford logo etched on the side of the base, as shown in photos #5 and #6 between the yellow points. The side logo is very worn. You can barely make out the \"ford\" in Waterford on this logo. This glass is probably somewhat older than the other eight.
The glasses are very carefully wrapped, packaged and double boxed with at least 2\" of packing material (which I reuse and recycle) between the boxes the glasses are in and the external heavy duty shipping box. The box weighs approximately 20 pounds, 4 ounces and measures 19\" x 19\" x 14\", so dimensional weight will apply and the box will require extra insurance. Rates have recently increased at all of the carriers, so please note that these glasses will be expensive to ship. I\'ll be happy to discuss local pick up if this applies to you.
