Vintage Avedis Zildjian 20\" / 51 cm Medium Ride cymbal, made in USA. Pre-serial example with older black Zildjian script logos and surviving MEDIUM RIDE / 20\" 51 cm factory ink.
Based on the surviving factory ink layout and pre-serial trademark style, this cymbal appears to date from approximately 1982–1987. Exact manufacture year cannot be verified.
What\'s Included:
One 20\" Zildjian Medium Ride cymbal only. Weight measured on scale: 2736 g.
What\'s Not Included:
No stand, cymbal bag, case, mounting hardware, felt, or wing nut.
Testing Performed:
Original seller demonstrated the cymbal before I purchased it. It produced a clear ride sound with no obvious buzzing or rattling heard.
Condition:
Used vintage condition with substantial natural patina and oxidation throughout. Original black ink is worn and faded but remains visible. Surface shows normal stick marks, scratches, discoloration, and age-related wear.
No cracks observed.
No keyholing observed.
No significant edge chips or flea bites observed.
No warping observed.
No repairs observed.
Center hole is clean and round.
The cymbal has not been polished or aggressively cleaned, so the remaining factory ink and aged surface have been left intact. It has already had enough attention over the last few decades.
