Filson tin cloth packer coat style 61 size 38.Made in Seattle Washington 1996. These coats were intended for those on horse back. They have an expanding lower back that fits over the back part of the saddle. They are double layered on the sleeves and over the shoulders. The wool vest buttons in on this particular model. The design was later changed to a zip in style. Also this model has a button front that was changed to a brass zipper later on. It has one inside pocket. I bought this coat new from Filson. It has a couple of small wear spots on the inside at the elbows. (see photos). It was re-waxed by Filson in 2013. This coat has been rarely worn in the last 20 years. As you see from the photos it has developed a darkend patina. The wool vest liner is in excellent condition. There are many years of service left in this garment. Thanks for looking.
