The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Rich amber color varnish over golden ground shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 585 mm and the back 353 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm.
