vintage Mid-Century Modern saucer pull-down retractable pendant light For Sale

This is a vintage Mid-Century Modern (MCM) "UFO" saucer pull-down retractable pendant light shade. Characterized by its iconic atomic era style, this frosted glass diffuser features a striking gold-painted pattern radiatng out from the center. • The center features an adjustable turn-switch finial knob and metal collar assembly. Originally part of a retractable "pull-down" mechanism, these kitchen or dining table fixtures used a pulley reel up at the ceiling so the shade could be raised or lowered to adjust the light height. Very rare - the pendant mechanism is good as new and works very well! Shade has been cleaned. Lamp has not been tested, but worked when it was last used. Comes from a smoke free home!
