For sale is this very cool 60s Guyatone double lapsteel. This came from the estate of a country western bluegrass musician here in SWKS. Ive done my best to describe it below! Please read carefully!
Overall this is in nice condition. There is some cosmetic issues (see pics). But everything looks pretty good!This only has two legs. I plugged this in and tested it. The knobs seem to be functioning but there is some crackle from the pots. The single pick up was very quiet when I tested it. Also of the three switches it seems like the middle switch wasnt working. Honestly i tried a variety of combinations and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didnt. I would say this needs to be fully checked and probably rewired. But of course its 60 years old so could use a little tune up! I wouldnt say this is ready to play right out of the box. Needs some TLC. Doesnt seem like a complete tear down, but Im not a pure vintage instrument person so YMMV. I didnt take off or replace any of the strings.
