Description : Here we have a quite rare (and this is a word I have hardly ever used) example of an 1860s dress that was likely hand made by an indigenous Native American woman, due to the style the dress is made in, which was a native take on women\'s fashion during the civil war,.even more uniquely is that the type of fabric used to make the dress was a Middle Eastern Ikat material, which was most likely a trade material. It features a hidden pocket at the waist and a great, pink calico on the underside and the offerice is lined with a thin, wool plaid.
