Outstanding Piece Of Toy History!
This is a ~Small Floor Toy~ 1890’s
Unusual Boxed Nickel Toy Steam Locomotive. It is plated and painted tin 3 1/4” long. It is an American model with cow catcher pilot, so an export piece. It is unmarked. It has wonderful wheels, and The only one we know of who was casting toy parts at the time was in France. It resembles an Ives or Fallows floor toy. The original box has a 2¢ Stamp circa 1890s, mailed to Mass, no return address! Condition is Excellent & Original.
