‘The Lore of Sportfishing’ by Tre Tryckare, E. Cagner; 1976 First U.S. Edition
A legendary coastal reference volume that long ago crossed from book into design object. This is the 1976 First American Edition issued for the U.S. market by Crown Publishers, New York, N.Y. It is the decorator-famous version recognized for its striking teal cloth cover stamped with a silver fish; a styling piece with serious visual presence. Featuring over 2,500 illustrations, including more than 200 in full color, ‘The Lore of Sportfishing’ stands as one of the most iconic, comprehensive, and visually rich guides ever produced on both fresh and saltwater game fishing.
12”H 11”W 1.5”D; 5lbs 15oz
Very good vintage condition; dust jacket has age-appropriate wear, teal cloth boards are clean and vibrant with crisp silver fish stamping. The binding is good, but not tight. Pages are clean with no writing; some page corners show light creasing from having been gently bumped or turned over time. An excellent display piece both jacketed and unclothed.
