Bare engine block from a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. All 8 cylinders measure out to 4.020\", which is about .020\" over STD spec. The cylinders have scuffing and a few vertical grooves deep enough to catch a fingernail, the worst of which has been detailed in the photos. This block will likely need an overbore to be usable, so having it checked by a reputable machine shop prior to assembly is highly recommended.There are no visible cracks or any structural damage to the block.The oil pan flange and block deck surfaces are all in good condition with no deep scratches or other damages. The lifter bores appear to be in good condition with no deep scratches, gouges, and all 16 lifters came out with ease and no issues. The main journals are in good condition, show no signs of excessive heat, and had no spun or damaged bearings when disassembled. The cam bearings are still installed, but should be replaced prior to assembly. All threaded holes and bolt bosses appear to be in good condition and undamaged. Assembly comes as shown and includes all five main bearing caps and bolts.The images are of the actual item you will receive.
This block should be checked by a professional machinist prior to use, as it may need honing, boring, resurfacing or other repair.
