Upper portion of body covered in a dark brown, or “honey” colored glaze
With four strap handles, also known as eyelet handles
Circa15th century CE
Sawankhalok ceramics became central to the region’s export trade from the 14th century, when the early-to-middle Ming dynasty reduced their export wares. The Thai kilns stepped in to fill in the “Ming gap” during this period.
