The title page states Northampton, Massachusetts: Printed by William Butler, 1799. Please note that William Butler is the printer, not the author; the volume contains sermons by several different ministers.
The visible table of contents includes sermons by Mr. Strong of Williamsburgh, Mr. Forward of Belchertown, Mr. Emerson of Conway, Mr. Newton of Greenfield, and Mr. Hale of Westhampton, covering subjects including Christian authority, divine revelation, the divine perfections, God as Creator and Governor, and the divinity of Jesus Christ.
Bound in period-style brown leather. An early handwritten ownership inscription is present on the front endpaper, though the name is faint and is not confidently identified.
Condition: Heavily worn antique condition. Leather boards and spine show extensive rubbing, scuffing, cracking, peeling and losses, particularly at the spine ends and edges. The binding is weakened, with visible separation and exposed material along portions of the hinges. Pages show substantial age toning, foxing, staining, edge wear, creasing and occasional markings. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition and contents; no claim of completeness is made beyond what is shown.
Your book will be carefully packaged for shipment. Photographs are part of the description.
