This is Volume I only and includes the engraved portrait frontispiece of Edmund Burke. An attractive early 19th-century Georgian volume presenting selections from the writings of one of the most important British political thinkers of the 18th century.
Bound in period half leather with marbled boards. The binding shows considerable age-related wear, particularly to the leather, spine, edges and hinges. The pages show some toning, spotting and foxing consistent with a book over 220 years old. The engraved portrait remains present and attractive.
