Charles-Michel Geoffroy (1819 – 1882) was a prominent19th-century French print engraver and artist. Born in Joinville (Haute-Marne),he spent much of his working life in Paris and passed away in Passy, where heis buried under a commemorative portrait bust in the Passy Cemetery. He iscelebrated for his highly detailed, precise line work and masterful use ofsteel engraving, stipple, and etching techniques.
