Profusely illustrated throughout with a color frontispiece and numerous full-page and in-text engravings depicting Siam (Thailand), Bangkok, Buddhist temples and priests, Angkor Wat, Cambodia, Cochin-China, Java, Sumatra, the Malay Archipelago, architecture, local customs, wildlife, and scenes of travel and adventure. All illustrations are present and complete.
A particularly well-preserved example, with the pictorial binding remaining remarkably bright and attractive. Interior generally clean and well preserved, with several old pressed botanical leaves retained between pages, an evocative trace of an early owner.
