Antique 1895 Holy Bible – Combination Edition, a substantial late-Victorian family Bible featuring beautifully illustrated pages, extensive reference material, and handwritten family genealogy dating back into the 1800s.
This impressive oversized Bible includes the Old and New Testaments in the Authorized/King James tradition, along with period illustrations and decorative color plates. One particularly striking color page features the Ten Commandments and the words of Christ, and additional black-and-white biblical illustrations appear throughout.
The family-record section is especially interesting and contains handwritten birth, marriage, and death records spanning multiple generations, with dates reaching back into the 1800s and continuing into the early 1900s. An additional memorial piece for Grace Roddy was also found preserved inside the Bible and remains with it.
