Offered is a wonderful partial group from Maxfield Parrish\'s The Great Southwest, originally published in The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine in 1902.
The original series consisted of seven color images. This group retains five of the seven Parrish images, printed back-to-back on three original leaves, along with the original The Great Southwest title/index page.

3. The Desert without Water
4. The Desert with Water
5. Formal Growth in the Desert
The two images not present are Water let in on a Field of Alfalfa and Bill Sachs: A Southwestern Type.
Important: These are not five separate loose prints. The Parrish images are printed on both sides of the original leaves, as issued in the publication. Please see photographs showing the arrangement.
Each leaf measures approximately 9.5 x 6 5/8 inches. The sheets retain evidence of their original binding along one edge.
The color images themselves remain remarkably attractive, particularly the dramatic Grand Canyon scene with Parrish\'s characteristic use of brilliant orange and blue.
These are original period 1902 printed pages, not modern reproductions.

Condition
Very good antique condition. The printed image areas are in excellent condition with strong color. Pages show age-related edge wear, small nicks/tears and binding marks along one edge from removal from the original publication. Light toning and minor handling wear may be present. Please review all photographs for complete condition details.
