1906 American Bible Society Pocket New Testament 64mo Christmas Inscription
Antique miniature pocket New Testament published by the American Bible Society, New York, in 1906.
Small 64mo format measuring approximately 4 inches tall. Red flexible binding with gilt “TESTAMENT” lettering on the front.
The front endpaper contains an original period Christmas gift inscription:
“A Christmas present to Esther Adams from her Grandma Adams Dec. 25th 1906.”
Title page reads “The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,” translated out of the original Greek and published by the American Bible Society, instituted in 1816.
The contents page is marked “345,500 Printed.”
Condition shows significant age and use, including cover wear and discoloration, rubbing, staining, age toning to pages, and wear around the inner binding as shown. Please review photos carefully for exact condition.
