The Galloway #3 1911 Recoil Spring Testing Tool. This handy tool can be used to test the poundage of all sizes of the 1911 recoil springs both Round Wire and Flat Wire. It is marked on the side of the main recoil spring holder to show you maximum compression of the Full government size + Commander and Officer sizes one side Round Wire the other side Flat Wire. The rods have an 11/64 size hole for your hand-held scales hook we include a ring to fit most any size scale hook. This unit does not come with a handheld scale as there are many different kinds available both dial and digital at very reasonable prices, or you may already have one. The pictures show how this tool works it can be mounted on the workbench or on the wall or post. It can also be held in a vice or handheld. It's small enough to fit in your range bag for field testing at the range. Note as the picture shows when using it place the top protruding spring end on the top of the rod. Instructions are included with the tool.
