1918 Rookwood Art Pottery Trumpet Vase 14" Calla Lily- Shape 2010 Dk Blue Vellum
***Please Note : Nice Antique Condition with delicate crazing in the vellum glaze that was visible under photo lights, mainly noted on the bottom of the vase, (but I would guess that would mean throughout) ~ I cannot notice it on body of the vase, but that might be because of the dark blue color. This piece has no chips, cracks or repairs. It does have several scratches to note on the finish. Please view photos 11-14. As you can see in photo 14, beneath the rim of the vase, a couple scuffs/scratches in the finish ~ the larger one is about 1 and 1/2" Long, the smaller one is less significant. There is also a small one on the edge of the leaf patterned base, see photo 13. Other than those, maybe a handful of very light insignificant scratches. The bottom base has a couple un-glazed spots, as seen in photos. The inside is clean with a very slight haze on the bottom, a couple slip glaze dots, and a darker glaze line a couple inches down. ( Not sure if that was a production thing or a water line? ). Overall really nice condition for age, it displays very well !- Rookwood Art Pottery Calla Lily Trumpet Vase.- Marked with the classic "RP" flame logo stamped above the Roman numerals XVlll (the designation for 1918).- The Shape Number is 2010.- The Glaze Code is V ~ it officially denotes Rookwood's Vellum glaze finish.- No visible artist's signatures, making it a production piece.- The color is Dark Blue with the Vellum Glaze, giving it a smooth eggshell texture.- Design is an elongated Arts and Crafts style, with Calla Lilies and Leaves in relief.- The material is clay.- It measures just over 14" High (just under 14 and 1/4") ~ 4 and 3/4" Wide (across the top mouth of the vase) ~ 4 and 1/2" Wide across the base.
