Offered for sale is this late 1920's "Charles Lindbergh and the Spirit of St. Louis" tapestry made in France. The tapestry depicts the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean by Charles Lindbergh in 1927. The tapestry features a central portrait of Charles Lindbergh with his airplane "The Spirit of St Louis" in the background. To his left, his plane is flying above the New York City skyline complete with the Statue of Liberty. To his right, his plane is over the Parisian skyline. It is marked on the back "Made in France" and "Registered." It measures approximately 19" by 55". It is in overall good condition with a stain in one area that can probably be cleaned out and a small surface snag – nothing major. It would make a nice wall hanger, looks and displays well and is guaranteed old and authentic.
