The composition of these nickels was modified in October of the year 1942 to divert the Metallic Element Nickel into use for the manufacture of munitions and equipment essential to U.S. War Efforts. Aside from color and composition, these War Nickels can be easily distinguished from other Jefferson Nickels by the oversized \"D\", \"P\" & \"S\" Mint Marks located on the reverse above the dome of Monticello. These coins are guaranteed to each be at least 81 YEARS OLD and some of them are as old as 84 years! The lot you receive will be randomly selected from my bin which has a mix of Coins within the 1942-1945 date range bearing \"D\", \"P\" and \"S\" Mint Marks as follows:
