I loosened the base on this lamp to straighten it out, and inside the hole on the bottom I was so excited to find this paintbrush! It looks like it was broken, so I assume the original artist who painted it discarded it inside of the lamp.
The base on this lamp was added after it was made, and is not original to the lamp. You can see the hole for the cord on the lamp itself. You could remove the base if you like and use felt to cover the hole in the bottom.
Good used working condition.
The cord needs to be updated.
