The pattern first introduced in 1937 and discontinued in 1959 by Holmes and Edwards, which are famous for their "inlaid" quality. To prevent "heel wear" (where the silver wears off over time), solid sterling silver was inlaid at the points of most contact- back of the bowls and handles- before the final silver plating.
