Vintage Swedish silver presentation plaque made by Sporrong & Co. of Stockholm.
The front is personalized “ERIK WETTERSTRAND 1938” beneath a crown emblem. The removable silver plaque is engraved in Swedish:
“MED TACKSAMHET FÖR VÄRDEFULLA TJÄNSTER”
Translation: “With gratitude for valuable services.”
The reverse bears Swedish silver hallmarks, including the Sporrong maker’s mark, Stockholm city mark, three-crowns national hallmark, hexagonal S silver mark, and K8 date code. The K8 code corresponds to 1937, with the presentation engraving dated 1938.
Hallmarks confirm Swedish silver of at least .800 fineness. Exact silver purity and weight have not been independently tested.
Includes the original fitted Sporrong & Co. Stockholm presentation case. Case measures approximately 4 inches across; plaque is approximately 3 inches wide.
Vintage condition with tarnish, surface scratches, patina, and age-related wear. The case shows scuffing, discoloration, and general storage wear. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
