1939 King Zephyr Special Full Pearl Alto Saxophone - Professionally Overhauled For Sale

This is a vintageKing Zephyr Special Full Pearl alto saxophone.Due to the serial #229178 it was made in 1939. This is very rare and truly professional instrument.The saxophone was professionally overhauled just before being listed on . It has been equipped with high-quality pads made by Music Medic USA, installed on shelac. The pads have flat metal resonators. All old rusty springs have been replaced.The neck cork and key corks have been replaced as well. The saxophone has been completely disassembled, the body has been thoroughly hand-cleaned inside and out, and all keys and rods have also been hand-cleaned. All pads have been precisely leveled relative to the tone holes, ensuring that no air leaks occur anywhere. The instrument has then been reassembled, oiled, adjusted, and regularly tested, so I can guarantee that this saxophone is in excellent, ready-to-play condition straight out of the case. The instrument is perfectly clean both inside and out. The lacqer shows some wear and scratches here and there but even so the instrument is still very shiny and looks great for its age.The set includes the case as shown in my picture in very good condition and clean. This case is not original but it is very solid and clean in and out.This case is not the original one, but it is very sturdy and clean both inside and out. I do have the original case, but it is in rather poor condition, which is why I decided to replace it with the one shown in my photo. However, if a potential buyer would like to have the original case as well, I can include it in the shipment. I can also send photos of that case to anyone interested.The saxophone stand shown in my photos is not included. No mouthpiece.
