Original red cloth boards, no dust jacket. Spine text a little sunned with light wear at the head and tail; boards show scattered foxing/staining marks to the front cover. Text block shows toning and foxing typical of age, with some edge chipping/nicks to a few page corners. Owner\'s ink inscription to the front free endpaper: \"Shirley Willmott, Lower Dandenong Rd, Braeside\" (a Melbourne, Victoria address), plus what appears to be a small id/reference number beneath it. Internally complete and readable, with black-and-white illustrations throughout intact. Overall a well-used but sound reading/display copy.
