A restored 1947 Parker Vacumatic Junior in Azure Pearl, with blue-striped celluloid, gold-tone trim and Parker\'s diaphragm-operated Vacumatic filling system. The pen has been serviced, filled, leak-tested and writing-tested.
The Pen
The barrel imprint and Parker gold nib both carry 1947 date codes. Its Azure Pearl celluloid shows strong blue-and-black contrast, with a gold-tone split-arrow clip and two narrow cap bands. The pen measures just over 5 inches capped.
Nib & Writing
The Parker 14K gold nib produces an approximately medium line with wet ink flow. It has been cleaned and smoothed and offers a very pleasant writing feel. The writing sample in the photographs was made with this pen.
Restoration
The Vacumatic filler was serviced with a new diaphragm, while the original breather tube was retained. The nib was cleaned and smoothed, and the exterior was cleaned and polished. Two substantial raised surface blemishes, one beside the barrel imprint and another on the blind cap, were polished out. The filling mechanism operates properly, with no leaks observed during testing.
Condition
The Azure Pearl celluloid presents with good gloss and well-defined striping, and the barrel imprint remains legible. The trim presents well. There are no known cracks or structural defects. As a vintage pen, minor signs of age and handling may remain under close inspection.
Known Flaws & Disclosures
No known remaining mechanical or structural faults. Two raised cosmetic blemishes were polished out during restoration; minor vintage surface wear may remain. The diaphragm is newly replaced, and the original breather tube was retained. Sold as the pen only, without a box or accessories.
