HISTORIC BROADWAY PRODUCTION
Born Yesterday opened February 4, 1946, at New York\'s Lyceum Theatre and became one of Broadway\'s most successful postwar comedies.
The original production ran for 1,642 performances through December 31, 1949.
This particular issue dates to the final week of Paul Douglas\'s original Broadway engagement, which ended May 29, 1948.
Judy Holliday continued in the production and later became internationally famous for her Academy Award-winning portrayal of Billie Dawn in the 1950 film adaptation.
