Description:From my grandfather’s carefully preserved antique-dealer collection in Austria, this is a historic 1959 commemorative silver coin issued by the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich) marking the 100th anniversary of the death of Archduke Johann of Austria. The coin was engraved by Michael Norz, and bears on the obverse a fire-breathing panther from the arms of Styria within a ¾ circle of regional shields, with “REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH 25 SCHILLING”.
