Here is the beautiful little Siemens T2 transistor radio, circa 1959, from the German electronics giant Siemens. These two-band sets (MW and LW) came in several colors of leather-like plastic cloth material that covered a brittle plastic cabinet. The tuning dials are displayed underneath a flap, and the band switch is located on the top. The set takes a 9-volt battery.
This example is in decent cosmetic condition, without the typical cracks around the screw holding the back in place. The edges of the back do have chips and the covering has some residue of the plastic filler on the surface. The set comes in the box, along with both straps and the paperwork. The radio does not work.
Ihave been collecting transistor radios and TVsfor more than 25 years, and am now "thinning" my collection. Most arelike new in the box, so keep an eye on my sales!
