Wonderful original commemorative history booklet produced for the Borough of Hellertown, Pennsylvania Centennial celebration held August 17–26, 1972.
Created to commemorate Hellertown’s 100th anniversary, this vintage publication is filled with local history, photographs, stories, businesses, organizations and information documenting Hellertown and the surrounding Lehigh Valley area.
The front cover features an illustration of the historic Boehm House, described as the oldest house in Hellertown and built in 1747.
Inside are numerous historical photographs and articles covering the development of Hellertown and the surrounding region. Of particular interest is a section devoted to the early Bethlehem Airport, including a 1929 aerial photograph, early aviation history, period aircraft imagery and information about the airport’s development.
