Dutch midfielder Andre Oostromadded 26 assists (6th in the NASL) and 11 goals while former Icelandic nationalteam forward Albert Gudmundsson collected 25 assists (7th in the NASL)with 11 goals. Canadian goalkeeper John Baretta and English-American defensemanBernie James were named to the NASL All Star second team. The Drillersfinished the regular season in 1st place in the NASL Pacific ConferenceNorthwest Division, then beat the Seattle Sounders in two straight games toadvance the conference semifinal where they lost to the San Diego Sockers twogames to one.
