The 1997-98 Ultra Stars insert is a 20-card set featuring many of the biggest NBA names of the era, including Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Garnett and Scottie Pippen. Iverson is card #2 US in the checklist.
The standard cards were produced with silver foil, while approximately 10% of the print run received the significantly scarcer Gold foil treatment. This example is the standard Silver version. Beckett lists Ultra Stars as a tough Series One insert from the 1997-98 Ultra product.
The reverse highlights Iverson\'s explosive rookie-season finish, including his five consecutive 40-point games, making this a great early-career insert of “The Answer” from his second NBA season.
