• Sow: plant shallow (about 1/4\" max). Press gently for seed-to-soil contact and avoid burying deeply.
• Germination: keep warm and evenly moist; seedlings commonly appear in about 10–14 days.
• Light & airflow: give bright light and good airflow for sturdy growth.
• Transplant/spacing: harden off and set plants 18–24\" apart in full sun and well-drained soil. A sheltered spot helps tall spikes stay upright.
• Care: water at the base, mulch to hold moisture, and stake if grown in windy locations. Remove spent blooms if you want a tidier look, or let some mature if you want natural reseeding.
