2024-25 MERCEDES S580 4.0L ENGINE MOTOR TWIN TURBO BITURBO AWD V8 M176 18K FITMENT S580; 4.0L; 4Matic; (8 cyl); 4.0 LITER; w/o hybrid Engine Installation Check List *Failure to complete the following will void warranty*

• Engines must be installed within 30 days of receipt otherwise the warranty is invalid. Installation must be completed by an ASE certified mechanic at a licensed facility. Any other installation method will void the warranty immediately.
• Diagnose and determine the original engine failure cause and perform appropriate repairs.
• Confirm the engine is correct for the application of installation.
• Clear all diagnostic codes from the vehicle prior to installing engine.
• Change the oil pan and oil pick up tube.
• Replace gaskets and seals (oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, front seal).
• Install new thermostat and gasket.
• Replace the timing belt or chain and all applicable accessories (guides, tensioners, ect.).
• Remove all plugs and covers used for shipping.
• Replace Water pump and seals.
• Install new spark plugs and wires with original manufacturer recommended equipment.
• Exchange the flywheel and flywheel hardware.
• Exchange attached accessories to insure proper fit (mounts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, distributor, sensors).
• Follow original manufacture procedures for oil priming (disabling fuel/injection before attempting to start engine).
• Replace engine oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filters, coolant/antifreeze.
• Drain excess oil and coolant from exhaust system.
• If equipped with an engine oil cooler the radiator or external cooler must be replaced.
• Insure the cooling system is flushed and functioning properly.

What is covered:

Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the following: engine block, cylinder heads, crankshaft, pistons, rods, bearings, oil pump, camshafts, valves and lifters.

What is not covered:

The engine you receive may or may not include some additional accessories or extra parts. If these parts are included they are sold as-is with no warranty. If accessories are included they are included only to protect the engine during storage and shipping and considered a bonus item. Examples of included items are: alternators, starters, water pumps, brackets, intake/exhaust manifolds, oil pans, turbo/supercharger (if equipped), sensors, cables, coils, wiring, injectors, electronics, belts (including timing belt/chain) hoses. Warranty does not cover any labor, diagnostic, towing or rental car costs.
