Offered here is a scarce 2025 Alderney £5 gold proof coin commemorating the 40th anniversary of the discovery of the wreck of the RMS Titanic.
The wreck was discovered in 1985, approximately 73 years after the Titanic sank during its maiden voyage. The reverse features a detailed depiction of the famous ocean liner at sea, surrounded by the inscription “40th Anniversary of Discovery RMS Titanic” and the anniversary dates 1985–2025.
The obverse features the left-facing portrait of King Charles III designed by Jody Clark.
