This stunning coin blends patriotic tribute with groundbreaking design innovation, creatingone of the rarest proof Silver Eagles to ever be struck since 1986!!The U.S. Mint is set to strike three special proof Silver Eagles to commemorate the 250th Anniversaries of the United States Army, Marine Corps, and Navy! All of which were established back in 1775, a year prior to the signing of the Declaration ofIndependence.The Army Silver Eagle is the first to be released and will be struck at West Point, The Marine Corps will be released this fall and will be struck at the Philadelphia Mint, and the Navy will be released late in the fall and struck at the San Francisco Mint. Each coin will feature a unique service privy mark representing each military branch that will be located just above the motto, "In God We Trust."The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic "Walking Liberty" design, symbolizing freedom and progress. Lady Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag and holding branches of laurel and oak.The reverse, designed by AIP Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso, features a majestic Bald Eagle preparing to land, clutching an oak branch within its talons as if to add it to its nest.
