What are Black Diamonds?
These are genuine Black Diamonds found naturally in mines mainly from Central Africa. They are more porous than White Diamonds and are found in the upper layers of the ground relative to the White Diamonds that are mined deep. Some scientists are of the opinion that their origin may be a Meteor that impacted earth Billions of years ago.
They are of Carbonado variety.
What is their nature?
Black Diamonds are not found in the state as they are sold. They are made from earth mined rough rock found in mines of Central Africa The Rock color varies from Gray to Black.
What is the treatment process:
To bring out its true color it needs to be treated.
The process is a natural one employing gentle heat in a high pressure environment (HPHT) which gradually brings out the true color of the Diamond.
Are any colors or chemicals added?
There are no artificial colors or chemicals included in the process.
Does it alter the composition?
The process may or may not alter the composition. It remains a true Diamond nevertheless. Once our diamonds are heat treated, it may move the molecules. This causes them to not always test properly with a hand tester. If a hand tester is used, sometimes they test as diamonds and sometimes they test as moissanites.
But they are genuine earth mined diamonds, not moissanite.
If you use a jeweler\'s loop you can see this by their molecular composition.
How does it differ from a Moissanite?
A Moissanite is man made whereas our Diamonds are earth-mined. A Moissanite will lose its shine and wither away in a short period whereas a Diamond will remain as they are forever.
My Jeweler says these are not Diamonds?
These Diamonds are rare and some jewelers may not be experienced enough in dealing with them. Further a Jeweler would not like to lose a customer who buys online as from rather than from his store losing a customer in the process.
How can you sell them so inexpensive?
We are wholesalers who buy the Rough Rock in bulk from mines and have direct cutting and polishing facility. This avoids many middlemen and their fat commissions. We do not have a brick and mortar shop also, thus saving on all fancy overheads. These diamonds are a bargain but obviously not those perfect stones that are not heat-treated.

All our Diamonds are accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity from an independent Lab. Certificate can be verified online. Various Labs may have different testing methods which can give different results thus we will be unable to accept results from other Labs. Hand held testers may also provide inaccurate results.
