Exquisite antique celery dish by A. Lanterrier of Limoges, France, dating to approximately 1895–1910. This elegant two handled serving dish features delicate hand painted pink roses and purple lilacs with green foliage on a soft cream ground, a pale green rim band edged in gold, and a beautifully ruffled scalloped rim. The base carries two original Limoges marks — the brown A. Lanterrier stamp and the green AL decorator mark — confirming its hand painted French origin.The long shallow boat form was made for serving celery at formal Victorian dinners and remains a favorite with Limoges collectors.
