A Portfolio of 24 Masterpieces of Graphic Art, Hardcover 1974 Henry J Weschler
A Portfolio of Twenty Four Masterpieces of Graphic Art, Hardcover 1974
This is not a binded book but a collection of art each individually matted! All 24 works of art are intact and in amazing condition. Pictures do not depict just how magnificent this collection is.
Not only are their 24 reproductions of famous art through the ages, but a description of each piece and the original artist, and an entire section dedicated on instructing an artist on the “how to” of graphic art.
For a 50 year old piece of history, this set is in great condition. Each sketching is secured in a matte that can be opened and the piece can be removed.
This portfolio contains 24 prints of distinguished works by XIXth and XX Century French Masters. 24 matted plates from works by Manet, Degas, Cezanne, Gauguin, Renoir, Lautrec, Bonnard, Vuilolard, Morisot, Picasso, Chagall, Miro and others.
The selection includes works produced in different media--Etching, Aquatint, Drypoint, Woodcut and Lithography. One-third of the subjects are in color, the rest in black and white. Every print has been made directly from the original, and not from \"once-removed\" photographs or illustrations.
