1876 United States Seated Liberty dime made into a vintage love token.
One side still shows Liberty and the 1876 date. The other side was engraved with a script monogram and decorative border. To my eye the letters look like WILL, but I am not completely certain and it could read differently. Please judge from the photos.
Silver dime. No mintmark visible.
Love tokens were popular Victorian keepsakes. One side of a circulating silver coin was engraved and given as jewelry or a personal gift.
