This issue is 100% original, not a modern reprint, and was purchased directly from a specialty vintage paper dealer in Jimbocho (Jinbōchō), Tokyo\'s world-famous antiquarian book district. Jimbocho is home to hundreds of rare book and collectible paper dealers, and this magazine came from a carefully curated collection that had remained together for decades.

About These Magazines
Japanese baseball magazines from the late 1940s and early 1950s documented the rebirth of professional baseball following World War II and the formation of what became modern Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Many feature Hall of Fame players, beautifully illustrated covers, and photography that was never published outside Japan.
Because these publications were intended for the domestic Japanese market, relatively few survive today outside Japan, making original issues increasingly sought after by collectors of baseball memorabilia, Japanese ephemera, sports history, and graphic design.
