Formed from silvered aluminium, the bracelet is constructed as an open C-shape with a twisted, spiraled body and rounded, bulbous terminals.
The surface is decorated with incised linear striations following the twist of the band, creating a textured appearance. The metal exhibits a pale, silvery patina with scattered areas of wear and minor discoloration, revealing the underlying metal and indicative of age and use.
The twisted form is characteristic of 20th-century African personal adornment, where such bracelets were worn as symbols of status and cultural identity. Similar examples are held in the collections of the British Museum and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, where they are associated with regional craft traditions across West and Central Africa.
