Value Breakdown by Condition and Grade (Google AI search)Ancient silver drachms are primarily valued based on their state of preservation and numerical grade assigned by numismatic services like NGC Ancients:

• Low Grade / Well-Worn (Good to Fine): $75 – $150
Coins in this range feature heavy circulation wear, visible scratches, or minor damage (like ancient test cuts). The core designs of Hercules\' lion cap and Zeus on his throne are recognizable, but fine details are smoothed out.
• Mid-Grade (Very Fine to Choice VF): $175 – $400
These pieces boast strong legibility of the vertical Greek inscription \"ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ\" (Of Alexander). Significant details on the feathers of Zeus’s eagle and the texture of the Nemean lion skin are intact.
• High Grade (Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated): $450 – $850+
Premium specimens feature minimal wear, exceptional eye appeal, clean surfaces, and original mint luster. Coins graded as \"Choice AU\" with a perfect 5/5 strike score frequently cross the $700–$850 threshold.

I will be moving to Greece in a few years; I cannot take my ancient coin collection with me. So, I will be selling many ancient coins over the next few years. I have been a huge collector since the early 90s.
I am no numismatic, I am a collector, I do not grade anything. \"What you see is what you are buying\". Everything is true and authentic to the best of my knowledge. If you are not happy, money back guarantee and free shipping as long as all items return in same condition shipped.
All coins shipped in vinyl (PVC free) 2x2 protective holders or 2x2 cardboard flip. I will add new items every Thursday.Wishing you all the very best, John
