Allen Edmonds original unlined Strandmok suede, size 12 A.
A rare very narrow version of this shoe in excellent condition. Perfect with white or cream linen trousers, light to medium wash jeans, stone chinos, or anywhere a sharper version of a \"dirty buck\" shoe would work. The color is a bit warmer than the photos, like a dirty buck. This pair has been seldom worn and always stored on shoe trees. Very little wear on the heel or toe of the sole (see photos). Very slight darkening on the outer rear of the right shoe where it rested against car floor mat; barely noticeable (see photos).
Note that these shoes are unlined. I had a bespoke shoemaker add leather tongue liners to reduce pressure from the laces. The topline (foot opening) on this model is lower and about 1/2\" longer than other models on this last such as the lined Strand or Elgin. I include a photo next to an Elgin of the same size to show the comparison. The soft unlined leather and longer, lower topline make the shoe perfect for warmer weather with or without socks if you have normal foot volume (given the narrow width). They feel a bit like loafers, which may be where the original \"Strandmok\" name came from. There are suede liners at the heel cups to reduce any slippage.
I\'m only selling because the fit never quite worked for me—I don\'t have enough volume in my mid and rear foot to fill it out.
